PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
Hello! I wanted to provide a few updates on our EANGA activities and want you to know that we’ve been very busy and are working on plans for the future. As you can see, we are also re-introducing “The Desert Chronicle” as the name of our Arizona Enlisted Association newsletter. It will be published and distributed electronically as needed, but at least quarterly.
We continue to represent the Arizona membership at national events and had great attendance at the recent EANGUS National Conference held in Little Rock from 7-10 August 2022. A total of 14 Arizona members — including AZANG Command Chief Rachel Landegent and three Professional Development attendees — were happy to be there in Little Rock to hear from the many outstanding speakers, attend EANGUS caucus and committee meetings, participate in Delegate voting on resolutions and elections, and witness the wonderful hospitality that the Arkansas Association provided. A few photos of the conference are included below – visit our Facebook page for more!
As we approach the end of this year, we’ve also kicked off our annual end of year membership special (see flyer below). Our State Association goal is to finish this year with at least 500 members — that’s right, with over 7,000 Enlisted members in the AZNG, less than 10% of them are EANGA/EANGUS members. Please utilize the information below and encourage co-workers or members of your unit to JOIN! As a reminder, officers, warrant officers, family members and other civilians who support the National Guard can also join EANGA as an Associate member. The special $15 annual membership and $150 Lifetime membership fee being offered through 31 December 2022, is a great deal for the benefits you’ll receive and the support your membership will lend when the association advocates on your behalf on Capitol Hill and in the Arizona State Legislature. I hope I can count on each of you to bring in at least one new member by 31 December 2022.
I would also like to invite you to get involved with our association and attend our monthly EANGA Board Meetings. All enlisted members are welcome and invited to attend and learn more about us. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 20th at 1700 hours. Our meetings are conducted virtually and usually last about an hour. If you would like to attend, please contact me at eangaorg@gmail.com and we’ll add you to our meeting attendee mailing list.
Thanks for your membership!
