President’s Message:
Hello EANGA members! There’s a lot going on as we gear up and move into spring so I hope you’ll take a few minutes to review all the info below!
One of the things you may not know, is that 2024 is our 50th Anniversary! The Enlisted Association National Guard of Arizona was officially incorporated on May 7, 1974. I think we owe a debt of gratitude to the enlisted leaders who served as EANGA’s founders and encourage you to read a little more of our history in the article below.
I also hope that you’ll join us for our next big events — the St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run-Walk at Papago Park Military Reservation on Friday, March 15th, and then, our annual State Conference which is coming up on Saturday, April 20th in Tucson. See all the details below and get more info on our website and social media sites.
And if you’re looking for money for college; either for yourself, or for your spouse or dependent children, please check out the information below about the EANGUS & EANGA Scholarship Programs. Our scholarship program is one of the biggest benefits of association membership with over $400,000 in full-tuition and cash scholarships being awarded each year.
Finally, don’t forget that you’re welcome to attend any of our monthly EANGA Board meetings — they are conducted virtually on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 1700 hours, and last no more than one hour. If you would like to attend, please contact me at eangaorg@gmail.com and we’ll add you to our meeting attendee mailing list.
Thank you for your continued membership and support!
Mary Thompson, MSgt, AZANG
