The 2024 Scholarship Season is closed — the 2025 Season will open in January!

    

 

We are proud to announce the 2024 Scholarship Program.  Information describing the scholarships offered by the Arizona Enlisted Association (EANGA) and the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) is provided here — these programs are specifically for National Guard enlisted members and their spouse or dependent children.

We are proud to offer the opportunity for our members to apply for over $500,000 in scholarships.  Each year, EANGUS awards many full-ride scholarships provided by our partner institutions (described below), as well as several $2,000 CSM Virgil Williams Scholarships and $1,000 Patriot Scholarships funded by corporate and individual donations.  EANGA – the Arizona Association, will offer one additional $1,000 Scholarships in 2024, as described below.

All applicants or their military sponsor (parent/spouse) must be a member of EANGA/EANGUS in order to apply.  If not a member, go to our Membership page and select JOIN or RENEW.

Most applications are due in April 2024, but please pay attention to the deadlines and details below regarding how to apply.  Good luck!

EANGUS Scholarships

Annually, EANGUS partners with our corporate partners, universities and individuals to provide a variety of scholarship opportunities to our members.  The winners of these scholarships will be announced by June and presented at the EANGUS National Conference, which is being held in Detroit, Michigan in August 2024.

This year, we are proud to offer FULL-TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS at the following partner universities:

Colorado Technical University – deadline to apply is 1 April 2024

Grand Canyon University – deadline to apply is 1 April 2024

Columbia Southern University – deadline to apply is 1 April 2024

University of Phoenix and Sonoran Desert Institute – window and deadlines are pending

EANGUS CASH SCHOLARSHIPS

In addition to the full-ride scholarships, EANGUS provides a number of $2,000 scholarships to our members or dependents as part of the CSM Virgil Williams Scholarship Program.  EANGUS also has the Patriot Scholarship Program which provides several $1,000 scholarships.  The total number of scholarships is based on contributions to the program from either corporate or individual donations. This scholarship is for an undergraduate degree.  Money is paid directly to the school you are attending and goes towards tuition expenses.

The deadline to apply for the EANGUS Cash Scholarships above is 1 April 2024.

NOTE:  The EANGA President will appoint the Scholarship Chair and committee members to review applications annually.  Each application will be reviewed for completeness and membership in the association will be verified.  Award will be made on the basis of the scholarship application information, character, leadership, and financial need. There will be no consideration given because of rank or grade of applicant, applicant’s parents, or applicant’s spouse. Neither shall the applicant’s geographical place of residence be considered. The established deadline must be met – no exceptions.

EANGA Scholarship Details

EANGA-USAA Scholarship

The 2024 EANGA Scholarship period is now closed.  Due to several generous donations, EANGA was able to award two $1,000 scholarships this year, and we extend our congratulations to:

Karla Soto-Perez, daughter of CMSgt Carlos Soto-Cruz, received a scholarship funded by USAA and named in memory of CSM (Ret) Harry W. Hensell and his wife Mary.

Hannah Hudgins, daughter of CMSgt Wes Hudgins, received the CMSgt Gerald Guild Memorial Scholarship on behalf of EANGA.

EANGA-USAA Scholarship

This year EANGA will offer one, $1,000 scholarship funded by USAA which is named in memory of CSM (Ret) Harry W. Hensell and his wife Mary.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:  Enlisted members of EANGA; or Unmarried dependent sons or daughters of enlisted EANGA member; or Spouse of enlisted EANGA member;  or Unmarried spouses and unmarried dependent sons and daughters of deceased Enlisted EANGA members who were in good standing at the time of their death.

NOTE

One EANGA scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 for the current school year of application (Fall 2024), and applicants must be enrolled as full-time students at a college, university, or business school.  Graduate students are not eligible for scholarships.   Awards will be sent directly to the recipient with each check made payable to the recipient’s choice of school.  To receive the award, verification will be required to the effect that enrollment has commenced.  Former recipients of the EANGA-USAA Scholarship Award are not eligible to reapply.  Those persons who have applied for this scholarship award and were not selected may reapply.

Application and Deadline

We are only accepting on-line applications for this scholarship. The application consists of an online questionnaire, personal narrative (NTE 500 words), and requires upload of your most current school transcript.

The deadline to apply for the 2024 EANGA cash scholarship is 31 March 2024.  

The scholarship recipient will be notified as soon as possible after the application period closes, but NLT 20 April 2024 so that you can use the funds for the Fall 2024 Semester.
