2019 EANGUS / EANGA Scholarship program  

NOTE:  The 2019 Scholarship Year has ended and all scholarship deadlines have passed.  Please review below for all the scholarship opportunities offered by EANGA and EANGUS and check back in January 2020 for next year’s program.

 

 

We are proud to announce the 2019 Scholarship Program.  Information describing the scholarships offered by the Arizona Enlisted Association is provided below — these programs are specifically for Arizona Army and Air National Guard enlisted members and their spouse or dependent children.  Military members are required to be a member of EANGA/EANGUS in order to apply, or for your dependents to apply.  If not a member, go to our Membership page and select JOIN or RENEW.  Full eligibility criteria and requirements are described on the application forms attached below.

2019 EANGA Scholarship Program Letter

 

EANGA STATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: 

The Enlisted Association National Guard of Arizona will offer two scholarships in 2019. The CMSGT Gerald R. Guild Memorial Scholarship will provide one – $1,000 scholarship. Additionally, through our Arizona association, USAA has funded one – $1,000 scholarship this year.  This scholarship is titled the Harry & Mary Hensell Scholarship.  Eligibilty rules are included on the Scholarship Applicaton Form at this link:  EANGA Scholarship Application (eff 1 Feb 2016)    Both of these Arizona scholarships will be awarded and presented during an appropriate ceremony on/after 27 April 2019.  Please upload your completed application and supporting documents NLT Monday, April 22, 2019 using the online form below; scroll to the bottom of this page.  NOTE: We are only accepting online applications this year.  Questions regarding the EANGA scholarship application process may be referred to the EANGA Scholarship Chair, CSM-Ret April Schneider at GandASchneider@comcast.net

NGAAZ (Officers Association) – LTC Michael Warren Memorial Scholarship Program: 

Each year the Officer’s Association provides 3, $1,000 scholarships, one of which goes to an AZNG Enlisted member.  See the link below for more information and the application process.  Note their deadline is 1 April 2019. http://www.ngaaz.org/ltc-michael-warren-memorial-scholarship-program/

 

EANGUS NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: 

The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States offers the CSM Virgil R. Williams Memorial Scholarship which awards at least two, and up to ten – $2,000 scholarships annually.   Applying for this program also qualifies you for the new $1,000 EANGUS Patriot’s Scholarship.  The deadline for this scholarship program is 1 May 2019.  This is the National Scholarship Program and winners will be announced during the EANGUS Conference being held in Des Moines, IA in August 2019.

NOTE:  As a member of the Enlisted Association, there are also additional FULL-RIDE OR TUITION FREE scholarship opportunities you may qualify for.  Please use the link below to get more information on these scholarship for attendance at University of Phoenix, Grand Canyon University, Grantham University and other major educational institutions.

NOTE: The application form below should be used to apply for the EANGA $1,000 Cash Scholarships ONLY.  Refer to the EANGUS website above to apply for the CSM Virgil Williams $2,000 Cash Scholarship and all full tuition scholarships.

Scholarship Application

The EANGA Scholarship season is now open. Complete this form only to apply for the EANGA & USAA $1,000 Scholarships being offered by the Arizona Enlisted Association. You must go to the EANGUS website to apply for all other EANGUS scholarships.

    If this is the first time applying for the EANGA Scholarship Program, you may apply for both scholarships, if offered. Former recipients of the EANGA and/or USAA Scholarships listed above are not eligible to reapply for the scholarship received. Those personnel who previously applied, but were not selected, may apply again.
    Membership in EANGUS/EANGA is required to apply for our scholarships. If you or your sponsor (spouse/parent), are not a member, go to www.eanga.org and select the Membership tab to join now. Dependent children must not be older than 23 to be considered. Honorary, Corporate and Associate (Officer/WO/Civilian) EANGUS members are not eligible for these scholarships.

  • Scholarships will be awarded for the current school year of application. Applicants must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college, university, trade, or business school. Graduate students are not eligible for this scholarship. If undecided, please state that; however, prior to scholarship award, the institution will have to be declared and relayed to the Scholarship Committee for payment.
  • Upon selection, the scholarship check will be sent directly to the recipient with the check made payable to the recipient's school of choice. Checks will not be issued until enrollment is confirmed.
